Are you based in Essex?
We are working with one of our local authority clients based in Essex, who are looking for a Sheltered Housing Officer to join their team for a minimum of 3 months, with a likelihood of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and then help meet the support needs of people using the service and provide outcome focussed personalised support plans.
- Support people to be as independent as possible, liaise where appropriate with other agencies to help services users get the appropriate help/support as identified in the support plans.
- Support service users to be actively involved in the development and improvement of the service they receive.
- To support interaction and communication with the local community, voluntary and statutory services.
- Gather, maintain and update scheme records including where appropriate using Information Technology systems. Carry out premises inspections and safety equipment testing.
Preferable Skills:
- Previous experience within Sheltered Housing
- Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to carry out administrative duties and record information accurately.
- Experience of working to a high standard of customer care.
