Senior Planning Officer

A local authority in the West Midlands is currently searching Senior Planning Officer to join the team within the next 2 weeks. They are looking for somebody with extensive green belt application experience and somebody who is comfortable working in a medium sized team.

Contract Length: 6 months

Rate: £40-£45/hour.

Minimum office presence of once a week required.

Daily responsibilities:

• Deal with a wide range of applications and pre-application enquiries
• Deal with planning appeals under both the written representation and hearing procedures
• Present applications to Planning Committee
• Help more senior officers with larger and more complex applications and condition discharges

If you are a qualified Planner with:

• Up-to-date knowledge of planning law
• Experience handling a wide range of all types of planning applications
• A desire to take the next step in progressing your career
