REPAIRS AND VOIDS SURVEYOR

  • You will be working as a Repairs and Voids Surveyor with an RP in Hertfordshire who are looking for someone to help deal with their issues surrounding complaints, damp and mould, voids and minor disrepairs.
  • This will be for a minimum 3-6 months, which will look to be extended if everyone is happy.
  • You will be covering a patch with about a 40 miles radius, with full control of your diary.
  • You will be on an hourly rate of £40 - £42 per hour, which is competitive.

REPAIRS AND VOIDS SURVEYOR ROLE BASICS:

  • Work in accordance with our policies and procedures relating to the delivery of building services, cyclical, major works and building maintenance works, ensuring they are aligned with legal requirements and good practice.
  • Monitor the performance of contractors and programmes against KPI’s and budgets.
  • Deliver the service to a quality and timeliness that will meet relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Be responsible for your own health and safety and look out for that of others.
  • Undertake property surveys to ensure compliance with statutory duties such as HHSRS and Decent Homes.
  • Assessing and remedying Damp & Mould related defects.
  • Specifying void refurbishment projects in line with the organisations void standard.
  • Undertaking of stock condition surveys.
  • Assist the team with other maintenance inspections as required.

REPAIRS AND VOIDS SURVEYOR APPLICANT ESSENTIALS

  • Strong experience of working as a Maintenance/Voids Surveyor.
  • Working within a Housing background would be highly beneficial.
  • Holding a RICS accredited degree (or equivalent) in a construction related discipline is desirable.
  • Full driving license and vehicle - covering a patch in East England
  • Strong Building Pathology skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of legislation, and best practice relating to this field of work to including the Building Regulations and The Decent Homes standard.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications and relevant surveying software.
