A council based in Kent are looking for a Environmental Protection Manager to manage and develop the Strategic Environmental Protection team.

The Role
- To provide specialist advice and to coordinate the day to day delivery of a team who represent the Council
- Coordinate the day to day delivery of specialist Environmental Protection functions to ensure accurate monitoring of priorities, officer performance and ensure high standards of service delivery to the public
- Lead on Environmental Permitting, Local Air Quality Management, Contaminated Land, Noise and Private Water Supplies
- Prepare reports as necessary and take such action as appropriate having regard to the corporate enforcement policy; and Serve Notices, where necessary.
- Assisting the Head of Service in reviewing relevant Budgets, legislation, complaints, law, and case review.
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in an Environmental Sciences related subject (or equivalent)
- Recognised management qualification (ILM or similar/equivalent)
Desirable
- Post graduate qualification in Acoustics
- Environmental Health Degree
