Job Title: Planning Policy Team Leader (Interim)
Location: London Local Planning Authority (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Contract Length: 12 months
Rate: £60 p/hr + DOE
Start Date: February 2025
I am working on behalf of a London Local Planning Authority to recruit an Interim Planning Policy Team Leader. This role involves leading a team of 12 officers and offers flexible working, including the option of a 4-day workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the policy team to deliver housing-related projects, SPDs, and key outputs.
• Lead on housing delivery and contribute to shaping planning policies.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff members.
Who We’re Looking For:
• An experienced leader with strong management skills.
• Expertise in housing delivery and policy formulation.
• Principal Planners or Deputy Team Leaders with the right attitude and ambition to step into management are strongly encouraged to apply.
