A local authority in Lancashire is currently searching Planning Officer to join the team ASAP. They are looking for somebody who can assist with production of development plans and help produce planning documents.

Contract Length: 3 months (rolling)

Rate: £30-35/hour.

Minimum office presence of once a week required.

Responsibilities:

• To monitor the effective delivery of a local Plan to 2032 through undertaking research, consultation and survey work, including evaluating and analysing data.

• To assist the council and external bodies in the production of neighbourhood plans.

• To play a lead role in the development and delivery of consultations relating to developing

• To assist in undertaking appropriate assessments and appraisals of planning policies in accordance with legislation and policy guidance.

Desirable skills/knowledge:

• Effective relationship management and facilitation skills.

• Effective organisational and administrative skills.

• The ability to produce a variety of documents to a high standard.
