Start as the Management Accountant, finish at the CFO.

A leading commercial real estate services company is seeking an experienced accountant to join its UK Finance team. The company provides a wide range of services to real estate occupiers, developers, and investors on both local and international levels.

Operating across multiple property sectors including office, industrial, retail, and hotel, with additional expertise in various specialised property types you will have the opportunity to caretake the financials of the business.

Joining the large-scale commercial business, you will join a dynamic and sociable professionals working across Financial and Management Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment within a high-performing team.

Growth and self-development are the goal for this role. This position is available due to the previous Management Accountant moving into a Finance Business Role. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic team while supporting key stakeholders across the business.

Primary Purpose of the Role:

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting through established processes
  • Support the production of financial reports and performance analysis
  • Act as a business partner to various divisional and departmental leaders

Main Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in line with compliance requirements
  • Address ad hoc accounting queries

Reporting, Analysis, and Business Partnering:

  • Prepare monthly departmental profit and loss statements with variance analysis and commentary
  • Produce statutory financial statements, including for LLPs and consolidated entities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., FCA)
  • Develop strong working relationships with divisional and departmental heads
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the business

Essential:

  • Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
  • Team-oriented but also capable of working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
