Licensing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing and assessing licensing applications for various sectors, including alcohol, entertainment, taxis, and other aspects within Licensing.
• Carrying out inspections and compliance checks to ensure that license holders adhere to the relevant regulations.
• Investigating complaints or breaches of licensing conditions and taking appropriate action.
• Preparing and presenting reports to support decision-making and enforcement actions.
• Collaborating with colleagues and other agencies to ensure effective enforcement and adherence to local policies.

About You:

• Proven experience in a licensing or regulatory role, with a broad understanding of licensing laws and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Knowledge of local government processes and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and tact.
