My Client is seeking an ambitious and skilled Finance Director to lead the financial operations and drive the business forward. With a turnover of approximately £15m across six trading companies and a growing team of over 200 staff, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Oversee and manage the internal finance team, providing strategic financial guidance and leadership.
- Financial Operations: Manage all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Systems & Controls: Develop and enhance the management information systems, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Reporting: Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and cash flow projections.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor banking activities to ensure adequate cash flow.
- Relationship Management: Represent the Group with external stakeholders such as bankers, auditors, and tax authorities.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of corporate financial management and accounting principles.
- Experience in process improvement and change management.
- Proficiency in managing relationships with financial institutions.
- Knowledge of payroll, audit, and tax/VAT regulations.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Over 5 years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office.
