Responsibilities:
- Oversee councils’ closure of accounts process
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements
- Conduct reconciliations and analyses of key accounts
- Support the internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
- Provide technical accounting advice and guidance to surrounding departments
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of current accountant standards
- Wealth of knowledge of key developments in local authority finance
