Job Title: Interim Building Safety Manager

Location: Hampshire

Rate: £350 - £380 per day

A public sector organisation in Hampshire are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Interim Building Safety Manager. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the safety and well-being of our community while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Building Safety Oversight: Monitor and manage compliance with building safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  2. Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments of buildings to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to building safety.
  4. Incident Response: Develop and implement effective incident response plans, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of safety concerns.
  5. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on building safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of building safety inspections, incidents, and compliance activities.
  7. Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing building safety performance and compliance status.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in building safety management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Previous experience in incident response and crisis management.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for documentation and reporting.
